MAC motors have
been successfully implemented into a
wide variety of demanding applications.
Our custom manufacturing has enabled
MAC to help our customers set their product
above the competition.
Special designs can be created to minimize
motor size and enable compact blower
packages. We can also take advantage
of your airflow to help cool the motor
and decrease package size even further.
Where positive stopping is required,
a brake can be added to most of our motor
designs, including commercially available
and custom types.
CRANES / HOIST
MAC has provided high torque motors for
many years and have two-speed and added
brake configurations. Motors can be provided
as a 3/4 motor (without shaft endplate)
for direct attachment to your gear housing.
Motors are available in a wash down configuration,
with smooth contours to resist food buildup.
A totally sealed, all stainless steel
motor is available. Many competitors
use aluminum in some areas which will
corrode when exposed to harsh cleaning
Although MAC does not manufacture gearing,
we are in a position to offer matched
motors and gearboxes for your specifications.
We have experience with both right angle
and parallel shaft types, including planetary

can be used with variable speed drives
for high- speed operations
MAC can produce motors to meet the
stringent requirements of military applications,
including shock and vibration, precision
balance and exposure to salt fog and
humidity. To meet today's military switch
to commercial product, we can provide
a very ruggedized motor, but without
full military requirement cost.
Where higher pole counts are required
(high-torque, low-speed), MAC can shorten
motors to extraordinary dimensions. Even
when higher speeds are required, we can
customize the design to eliminate unnecessary
space required by standard motor manufacturers
whose main goal to is use common parts.
MAC standard frame motors have been successfully
used on many pump types. Many special
sized castings exist to accommodate special
pumps. Some pump designs have required
motors to be submerged in oil (for trash
or sewage types) or water. In submerged
applications, high output capability
is available to 20 HP in small size.
